Discoloured water on first use

That's normal on new cartridges. Put a jug under the tap, press rinse and let it flush for about 4 minutes until the water runs clear.

Tank-low light stays on

Top up the hydrogen tank with purified (RO) water. Unscrew the tank cap and fill it.

E8 fault

This is usually caused by filling the tank with mineral or bottled spring water, which raises the TDS. Only use purified (RO) water in the tank. Contact us and we'll walk you through clearing it.

Cartridge light is red

  • Flashing red: the cartridge is 80 to 99% used. Order a replacement now.
  • Steady red: the cartridge has expired. Replace it before using the unit again.

No water from the tap

  1. Check that the water inlet valve under the counter is open.
  2. Check the unit is plugged in and switched on. You should hear three beeps, then press the power button once the cartridge lights appear.
  3. Touch a volume button on the tap first, then press the water button.

Common questions

Do I need a plumber to install it?

Yes. The H2 Flow connects to your mains water and drain, so it should be installed by a qualified plumber or a Zenii-approved technician. A correct install protects your warranty. Give your plumber the H2 Flow install procedure (PDF).

Where does it go?

Upright, under the counter or inside a kitchen cabinet, out of direct sunlight and rain, above 0°C, and within reach of a 220V plug.

Can I use borehole water?

No. It's designed for normal municipal tap water only.

What water goes in the hydrogen tank?

Purified (RO) water only. Mineral or bottled spring water can cause a fault.

What do the tap buttons do?

  • 1000 ml: 1 litre of purified water.
  • 500 ml: half a litre of purified water.
  • H2 Ambient: about 1 litre of hydrogen-rich water.
  • Ambient: about 1 litre of hydrogen-rich warm water.

Touch a volume button, then press the water button to start. Touch any key to stop early.

What water pressure does it need?

0.1 to 0.4 MPa. If your pressure is higher, your plumber should fit a pressure reducing valve.

Care and cleaning

Cartridge lights

  • White: cartridge is healthy (0 to 79% used).
  • Flashing red: nearly due (80 to 99%). Order a replacement.
  • Steady red: expired. Replace it now.

New cartridges

Flush new cartridges before use. Press rinse and run the water until it's clear.

Keep it protected

Keep the unit above 0°C and out of sun and rain. Don't fold or kink the water pipes, and don't modify the supplied pipes or waste line.

Warranty and repairs

1-year warranty. We start with a video call to diagnose the problem. If it can't be fixed remotely, we arrange collection by courier.
